MCP2551T-I/SN

Category: Can, CAN Interfaces, CAN Transceivers, Controller Area NetworkMicrochip
Microchip The MCP2551 is a high-speed CAN, fault-tolerant device that serves as the interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical bus. The MCP2551 device provides differential transmit and receive capability for the CAN protocol controller, and is fully compatible with the ISO-11898 standard, including 24V requirements. It will operate at speeds of up to 1 Mb/s.Typically, each node in a CAN system must have a device to convert the digital signals generated by a CAN controller to signals suitable for transmission over the bus cabling (differential output). It also provides a buffer between the CAN controller and the high-voltage spikes that can be generated on the CAN bus by outside sources (EMI, ESD, electrical transients, etc.).

ATMEGA8A-AUR

Category: 8 Bit Microcontrollers, MCUsMicrochip
Microchip The Microchip AVR core combines a rich instruction set with 32 general purpose working registers. All the 32 registers are directly connected to the Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), allowing two independent registers to be accessed in one single instruction executed in one clock cycle. The resulting architecture is more code efficient while achieving throughputs up to ten times faster than conventional CISC microcontrollers. The ATmega8A provides the following features: 8K bytes of In-System Programmable Flash with ReadWhile- Write capabilities, 512 bytes of EEPROM, 1K byte of SRAM, 23 general purpose I/O lines, 32 general purpose working registers, three flexible Timer/Counters with compare modes, internal and external interrupts, a serial programmable USART, one byte oriented Two-wire Serial Interface, a 6- channel ADC (eight channels in TQFP and QFN/MLF packages) with 10-bit accuracy, a programmable Watchdog Timer with Internal Oscillator, an SPI serial port, and five software selectable power saving modes. The Idle mode stops the CPU while allowing the SRAM, Timer/Counters, one SPI port, and interrupt system to continue functioning. The Power-down mode saves the register contents but freezes the Oscillator, disabling all other chip functions until the next Interrupt or Hardware Reset. In Power-save mode, the asynchronous timer continues to run, allowing the user to maintain a timer base while the rest of the device is sleeping. The ADC Noise Reduction mode stops the CPU and all I/O modules except asynchronous timer and ADC, to minimize switching noise during ADC conversions. In Standby mode, the crystal/resonator Oscillator is running while the rest of the device is sleeping. This allows very fast start-up combined with low-power consumption. Microchip offers the QTouch library for embedding capacitive touch buttons, sliders and wheels functionality into AVR microcontrollers. The patented charge-transfer signal acquisition offers robust sensing and includes fully debounced reporting of touch keys and includes Adjacent Key Suppression (AKS ) technology for unambiguous detection of key events.

KSZ9031RNXIC-TR

Category: Ethernet, PHYMicrochip
Microchip The KSZ9031RNX is a completely integrated triple-speed (10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T) Ethernet physicallayer transceiver for transmission and reception of data on standard CAT-5 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. The KSZ9031RNX provides the reduced gigabit media independent interface (RGMII) for direct connection to RGMII MACs in gigabit Ethernet processors and switches for data transfer at 10/100/1000Mbps. The KSZ9031RNX reduces board cost and simplifies board layout by using on-chip termination resistors for the four differential pairs and by integrating an LDO controller to drive a low-cost MOSFET to supply the 1.2V core. The KSZ9031RNX offers diagnostic features to facilitate system bring-up and debugging in production testing and in product deployment. Parametric NAND tree support enables fault detection between KSZ9031 I/Os and the board. The LinkMD® TDR-based cable diagnostic identifies faulty copper cabling. Remote and local loopback functions verify analog and digital data paths.

KSZ8041NLI-TR

Category: PHY, PHYsMicrochip
Microchip The KSZ8041 is a single supply 10Base-T/100Base-TX Physical Layer Transceiver, which provides MII/RMII/SMII interfaces to transmit and receive data. A unique mixed signal design extends signaling distance while reducing power consumption. HP Auto MDI/MDI-X provides the most robust solution for eliminating the need to differentiate between crossover and straight-through cables. The KSZ8041 represents a new level of features and performance and is an ideal choice of physical layer transceiver for 10Base-T/100Base-TX applications. The KSZ8041RNL is an enhanced RMII version of the KSZ8041NL that does not require a 50MHz system clock. It uses a 25MHz crystal for its input reference clock and outputs a 50MHz RMII reference clock to the MAC. The KSZ8041NL and KSZ8041RNL are available in 32-pin, lead-free QFN packages. The KSZ8041TL and KSZ8041FTL are available in 48-pin, lead-free TQFP packages. The KSZ8041MLL is provided in the 48-pin, lead-free LQFP package.

MCP9700T-E/TT

Category: Electromechanical, Temperature, Temperature and Humidity Sensors, Temperature SensorsMicrochip
Microchip The MCP9700 sensors with Linear Active Thermistor™ Integrated Circuit (IC) comprise a family of analog temperature sensors that convert temperature to analog voltage. The low-cost, low-power sensors feature an accuracy of ±4°C from 0°C to +70°C while consuming 6 µA (typical) of operating current.Unlike resistive sensors, e.g., thermistors, the Linear Active Thermistor IC does not require an additional signal-conditioning circuit. Therefore, the biasing circuit development overhead for thermistor solutions can be avoided by implementing this low-cost device. The Voltage Output pin (VOUT) can be directly connected to the ADC input of a microcontroller. The MCP9700 temperature coefficients are scaled to provide a 1°C/bit resolution for an 8-bit ADC with a reference voltage of 2.5V and 5V, respectively. The MCP9700 output 0.1°C/bit for a 12- bit ADC with 4.096V reference. The MCP9700 provide a low-cost solution for applications that require measurement of a relative change of temperature. When measuring relative change in temperature from +25°C, an accuracy of ±1°C (typical) can be realized from 0°C to +70°C. This accuracy can also be achieved by applying system calibration at +25°C.In addition, this family is immune to the effects of parasitic capacitance and can drive large capacitive loads. This provides printed circuit board (PCB) layout design flexibility by enabling the device to be remotely located from the microcontroller. Adding some capacitance at the output also helps the output transient response by reducing overshoots or undershoots. However, capacitive load is not required for the stability of sensor output.
