Category: CAN Interfaces, CAN Transceivers, Controller Area NetworkNXP
NXP The TJA1051 is a high-speed CAN transceiver that provides an interface between a Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. The transceiver is designed for high-speed CAN applications in the automotive industry, providing differential transmit and receive capability to (a microcontroller with) a CAN protocol controller. The TJA1051 belongs to the third generation of high-speed CAN transceivers from NXP Semiconductors, offering significant improvements over first- and second-generation devices such as the TJA1050. It offers improved ElectroMagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and ElectroStatic Discharge (ESD) performance, and also features: The TJA1051 implements the CAN physical layer as defined in the current ISO11898 standard (ISO11898-2:2003). Pending the release of the updated version of ISO11898-2 including CAN FD, additional timing parameters defining loop delay symmetry are specified. This implementation enables reliable communication in the CAN FD fast phase at data rates up to 2 Mbit/s. These features make the TJA1051 an excellent choice for all types of HS-CAN networks, in nodes that do not require a standby mode with wake-up capability via the bus.

MCP2551T-I/SN

Category: Can, CAN Interfaces, CAN Transceivers, Controller Area NetworkMicrochip
Microchip The MCP2551 is a high-speed CAN, fault-tolerant device that serves as the interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical bus. The MCP2551 device provides differential transmit and receive capability for the CAN protocol controller, and is fully compatible with the ISO-11898 standard, including 24V requirements. It will operate at speeds of up to 1 Mb/s.Typically, each node in a CAN system must have a device to convert the digital signals generated by a CAN controller to signals suitable for transmission over the bus cabling (differential output). It also provides a buffer between the CAN controller and the high-voltage spikes that can be generated on the CAN bus by outside sources (EMI, ESD, electrical transients, etc.).

TLE9252VSKXUMA1

Category: CAN Interfaces, CAN Transceivers, Controller Area NetworkInfineon
Infineon TLE9252VSKXUMA1 is a high-speed CAN FD transceiver in a 14 pin SOIC package. This transceiver is designed for HS CAN networks up to 5Mbit/s in automotive and industrial applications. As an interface between the physical bus layer and the CAN protocol controller, the TLE9252V drives the signals to the bus and protects the microcontroller against interferences generated within the network. Based on the high symmetry of the CANH and CANL signals, the TLE9252V provides very low electromagnetic emission allowing the operation without a common mode choke. The non-low power modes (Normal-operating Mode and Receive-only Mode) and low power modes (sleep mode and stand-by mode) are optimized for reduced current consumption based on the required functionality. Even in Sleep Mode with a quiescent current below 25µA over the full temperature range, the TLE9252V is able to detect a WUP on the HS CAN bus. The VIO voltage reference input is used to support 3.3V and 5V supplied microcontrollers.
